CANDLES... CAKES... BIRTHDAYS...

I am an employee of the government and our immediate boss is a politician. We all know that politicians come and go. But one thing I realize while doing my job everyday is- Compliment your employees who are doing their job heartily. Compliments may be simple but its effect is huge. It's like showing them that they did a great job even how simple and routinary it is.
I commend our boss in the local government who always sought the welfare of its employees. Simple gestures such as giving cakes on their birthdays is a joy you can share to them.
Now, every employee who is working so hard everyday of their lives until their retirement can now look forward to celebrating their birthdays and the cakes and candles that their boss is giving them.
I blew my 6th birthday cake from her. Its our boss' 6th year serving the constituents already.

Happy birthday to you! It is nice to know that there are government officials who think about their constituents. I don't want to generalise but a lot really forget about the people they need to serve once they are seated in power.
I mean, they were the ones who have put them in power right? Yet when they get the much-coveted position, they treat them like dirt - ironic, right?
