Do you feel your English has improved after joining mylot ?

My experience is that initially it irpoved , but as the time pressure has mounted and low quality yes /no type discussions draw more attention , my improving trend slowed down .

No I don't think myLot could improve my English. I think my English was pretty good when I joined as it's my 2nd language but I haven't seen many members on here who take the time to write good discussions in a good language. I have noticed that non-English speaking members seem to be worse when it comes to slang and abbreviations on here. Do they think it's cool or is it only a sign that they don't know the correct spelling of the words and use slang to hide it?

You might be right . Would you kindly do one thing for me : point out serious mistakes in my language when you notice them .

Well, I wish everyone would Post only intelligent topics here that make you think to where you have to post a little bit here. But we Win some and we loose some. But my main language is English, so it is interesting seeing other peoples points of view who's English might be limited.

Mh, I think taht using english in forums like this can improve your english skills...but surely topics where you can answer just yes or no don't help..o.O
