Half of our caseload of four students was missing. It was a different day. When that happens it gives us opportunity to catch up on record keeping and planning for the kids. It also lets us give more attention to the others. There is always something new to tackle.

I wear lots of layers, and it does help keep me warm. The temperatures are cold, but so far we do not have the rain, wind, snow and ice that they were predicting.

Nor do we have any Snow yet but its tremendously cold too. Its icy rain and windy but no snow as yet.

I did not have any outside recess duty, so it was pleasant to be inside. Our favorite substitute brought cinnamon rolls for all the staff at school because of it being a full moon on Friday the 13, with a predicted ice storm. Yummy whatever the reason.

Because of sharing rides with hubby I have been going in early. My supervisor came in and said "I am so glad you are here. I need to talk". She makes me feel like I am in the right place at the right time.

What's the forecast for the NFL playoff game in Kansas City this weekend? Do you know? I had heard several days ago that the weather could potentially be a determining factor in the outcome of the game.

Hubby says the game was changed to late Sunday night. The ice storm advisory goes to midnight Sunday night. I also read that they are predicting snow all day Sunday.
