1965 – The Who release their first single “I Can’t Explain”. 1966 – The Rolling Stones album “December’s Children” goes Gold. That same year The Beach Boys get on the charts with “Barbara Ann”. Also the same year Petula Clark comes out with her second number one hit “My Love”. 1972 – “Sunshine” by Jonathan Edwards went on to receive a Gold record for one million sales. Only problem is that I cannot remember this song so to remind myself and you I have included it here. That same year “American Pie” by Don McLean rises to number one. 1977 – Leo Sayer has a number one hit with “You Make Me Feel Like Dancing”. http://www.classicbands.com/day/january%2015.html

Too bad the sports station play that gruesome music instead of the music from the rock and roll era as their bumper music.

I remember this song. We were so fed up with the Vietnam war killing all our young men, it was such a sad time.

I only know a couple of these as for a while we could only get the ABC here but no commercial stations.
