Very popular in India."Hyderabadi Biryani". Your thoughts?

Had biryani tonight. I live in India and it is a pretty common dish. It's made by rice (basmati rice) and meat (chicken and lamb are the most common). I love it. it's totally delicious and got popular by the name "Hyderabadi Biryani". Your thoughts?

Basmati rice,a type of rice with a distinct flavour that just adds up to the taste. Chicken/lamb complement the dish. For vegans, vegetable biryani is a nice option.

My thoughts: I do not live in India. Do you really think that the whole world knows everything about India? MyLot is a global site. I know that I'm not the only member who hasn't got the foggiest idea what a biryani is.
Would it be too much to ask to write more than two lines and explain it, maybe accompanied by a photo?

Well it is made from the finest grains of rice and which have an aromatic taste than other varieties. It has cooked pieces meat in it and spices are also added to further enhance the dish. Mostly served with "mirchi ka salan" (a sauce which is made from adding spices and it is very peppery.) and also another sauce known as "dahi chutney" ( a sauce made from curd which is a little sweet and a little sour). I hope you got an idea of the dish.

So I am supposing there is a type of sauce with this, and maybe a seasoning. Is it spicy? Do you eat vegetables with it? Or fruit? I am enjoying a class where we have made some curry spice mixtures and some teas.
