Finally! This best snack done! But wait, still have to wait another 4 hours..... This snack have a funny name too, in Cantonese or mandarin, name it " Ah Za ". Ah Za been very popular in South East Asia, especially Malaysia, its start from appear in some Chinese village. Ingredients : cabbage, long bean, carrots, cucumber... The main is pineapple! Add on the secret recipe : the well stew Chili sauces. Then ta-da! Here the best snack ! With prawn or fish biscuit, this can eat whole day. But because to create this take long times, need more than 6 hours, and need to wait another 4 hours. This is not expensive, consider not good profits too. So slowly it's dissapear from markets. Now day to taste the original is hard to get, consider it's rare. Usually will only can eat this from elder relative who live before 90'. My husband love this so much, and he learn from his mother. He enjoy to made this during Chinese New Year is coming, and share to families as gift. There are many feelings when seeing this snacks. Because there are childhood memory, the traditional cultures and the ancient taste which only create with full of passion and patient. I hope there are chance to let you all taste this. It's not high end snacks with expensive ingredients, just some country side snack. But this is full of vitamins, good to eat with bread or rice too !
