More than 7000 at our local Womens' March

Anne and I were two of that number. With temperatures in the low 40s and a sometimes heavy rain, it was not comfortable in front of the Federal courthouse, but we stuck it our until the march finally got underway (after too many speakers). We did not go all the way to the end since the rain and wind picked up, but left the march to get warm. Anne was quite uncomfortable. I was amazed at the (Yooooge) turnout here and in Portland, there were over 100,000, 750,000 in Los Angeles. People are putting the the new administration on notice that they should tread carefully as they start making changes in 2017. I know that some other myLotters were marching as well. I am glad to see this kind of activism. I took this photo early on and it is of the podium, not the still arriving crowd.

Oh you make me grin. Our little group had 235 people marching- tiny but over 60 percent of the population here voted for Trump. It felt good to have us three there moving along with other like minded patriots.

@JamesHxstatic Its crazy. One afternoon I drove by a couple of sweet white haired ladies. They were out parading on the street with Trump signs. What is the attraction?? Is he their second coming of Christ??

@sallypup I can't imagine. Maybe they want to go back to the 50s?

@JamesHxstatic Lol... his Orangeness. I still think that the president (whoever it is) shouldn't have a twitter account, spray tan, etc....

We had 5,000 turn out here. I didn't go of course. It is good to know that women are invested in rights and a better life for themselves. I am glad to see this type of activism too.

It's a pity the march was so uncomfortable but well done for attending in spite of the weather.

Poor timing - my daughter took the SAT today. Picked her up 12:15 and got her some lunch. We could have gone downtown at that point as there was still a rally going on, but we had missed the march at that point, we were both tired, so didn't go. I would really have liked to though.

They were marching for so many reasons. What were yours?

The men marching locally were marching to show solidarity and unity for women and their causes after the election of a man as President who has shown a total lack of respect for women in his actions and words. It was also a nationwide protest against the proposed policies of the recklessness of Trump, who was handed the office, despite losing the popular vote by three million, due to our Electoral College.

About 2,000 people showed up in Geneva (Switzerland) for the Women March and several thousands in my native city in Italy.

I was surprised that our number of marchers here in my city was so low, because we are known as having a large population of activists. But only about 1,500 came out to the women's march here, a number I thought was really low. And weather was not to blame, as it was sunny and warm.

Excellent. Thank you for giving up your time to do this. I was entrenched in my young family, and later discovered that many of my friends and their entire young families marched. I am happy that all these people were prepared to get outside in the cold to make a statement.

Wow! Good for you for joining the march. Had there been a local effort I'd have wanted to contribute. (not just because I like the pink hats that some of the marchers were wearing.)

@JamesHxstatic But don't you think everyone is in a hurry to assume without knowing what this guy is up to? No amount of protest is going to help unless one goes the legal way - my thinking

@allknowing We do know what he is up to; he made that clear. We are telling him that millions of Americans will not go along with it. We have that great privilege here.

@JamesHxstatic you don't think people on left would have protested Hillary? She's practically a Republican
