Use of social media

In last 10 year social media become the part of every person. I remember the time when google launch the orkut as a platform to intract with other and making new friends but now a days facebook, twitter, etc take over the orkut. The use of social media is also change from making freinds, chatting to politics, publishing news and for trolling. What you think is the use of social media change with the time?

When I first started using Facebook I used to chat with my friends but nowadays I use it for timepass.. I keep on scrolling the newsfeed and never even care to check the messenger ..

@Slayqueen Agreed, because of wassapp, no one cares for any other medium for chat. I remeber the days when yahoo messenger was so popular for chat and that too without android.

@divi Twitter is less used by common people as there is a word limit for each post. Also its graphical interface is less interactive than FB. But Twitter is most popular in official use.

Yea...those were the orkut days..it actually took the country by storm before it collapsed to immensely popular facebook few years later.
