Julie and Julia - wonderful movie but terrible book

This is one of my most favourite movies till date and yet again today I watched it with a big smile on my face for the 5th time. I could never understand how such an uninteresting book could be made into such a wonderful and compassionate movie. The story of the struggles of both the protagonists just shout out to me - wake up and do what you can - time is short - find your calling and get going. And the book - I can never get through the first page - and believe me I have tried.

An image talks for itself and the productor of the movie understood well his job to convert (maybe) a boring text to a well done move. Some authors have got a great idea to tell a story but don't really know how to tell it.

Sometimes this happens but it usually happens the other way around where the movie is terrible and the book is great!
