So, there was something in the trash that Rygel, our "trash" cat, just had to get at. The roomie tied up the trash bag, but he was still trying to get in it. I decided I had better take it out. I went to pull the bag out of the can, but it was too heavy to lift easily, so I decided to take it out and dump it. Now, I'm only 5 feet tall, the trash can is close to 4 feet tall, so lifting the trash into it is hard, especially when it is heavy. And, to day is the day I dump all the litter boxes and start again, so we call it "trash day" even though it won't be picked up until tomorrow. Now, I have a ramp into the house, so what we do is bring the trash can over next to the ramp, then I only have to lift the can over the railing, that is about 3 feet high, much easier lift for me. Now, the picture is of a planter we have next to the ramp. Sometime in the last week, it fell down. We had a hose hooked on the planter so we could easily water it and the other plants next to the house, and so we could find it to water the garden, when the garden was going. Now the hose, which the water is on, but since the handle wasn't depressed, wasn't spraying. I'm sure you can see where this is going, but I'll tell you anyway. I went and got the trash can. I was wrestling it into place, made more difficult by the planter having fallen. I stepped back and set off the spray! Suddenly I'm getting wet all on my back! The back of my right jeans was instantly soaked. I jumped away, and got the spray to stop, but because of the way the trash can/hose/planter were, I couldn't pick it up. I got the trash can into place, went around to the ramp, carefully to keep the wet jeans from hitting me too much and dumped the trash can. I then bring it back inside and go take off my wet jeans and throw them in the dryer. Now... this is winter in Texas, so the temperature might've been in the upper 50's. Not really awful, not like it was freezing cold out there, but still not something you would want to be wandering around in wet clothes in. I put on dry jeans and finish up putting a new bag in the trash can. In a while I'll tackle the cat boxes, but right now... well, right now I'm thinking about lunch!

The cat boxes had to be changed because the trash comes pretty early in the mornings most Thursdays. It is also recycling this Thursday (every other week) so that had to go out.

Its CATS no cat, so I don't know who set the fire. And I can't blame the cats for getting me wet.
