Religious haircuts.

It is now six months since I had my hair cut. No-one else in this village has long hair, leastways no men. The children are always pointing and laughing at me, but the men keep their heads more or less shorn for religious reasons which I do not share so I am reluctant to have my hair cut short as I would prefer because I don't want to give the impression that I believe what others believe. Silly, I know, but there you are.

There is woman in our vicinity who never combs her hair. Her hair has got clotted that appears like a huge snake sitting on her head.

Being yourself isn't always easy but sometimes you just got to do what you got to do. Kudos for going against the grain and being you.
