Call me old fashioned if you will, but to work in fast food, other than being in managerial positions, I think minimum wage is fair. It doesn't take any college courses to be a fast food employee. Especially this employee that works/ed at Jack's restaurant in Columbus, Mississippi.
I don't know whatever possessed this girl to put menstrual blood and saliva/spit on a customer's sandwich!!! Who would ever any think of doing some thing like this in a public restaurant??
Now, it's just not her, but the other employees that were there and watched her do it!! The person that ate the hamburger (that didn't know what was on their hamburger) ate it it and got sick!! Now hope the person who got sick from eating it sues the girl!!
These employees want $15.00 an hour for that??? Don't think I'll be going to any drive thrus, I'll go to places where I can see the people cooking my food!!

Yes I do agree with you somewhat but there are a lot of factors involved which could cause a whole lot of debating. Now generally you may think that the people who get jobs at fast-food places are people who don't have qualifications or high-school dropouts. What about the people who finish University but can't find jobs so there only option is to work at a fast-food place? What about the mothers and fathers who do night classes to provide a better life for their children who need a job at a fast-food place?
Personally I think the $15 should be based on performance.

That was exactly my point @gustavowoltmann!! This girl that did this, as far as I'm concerned, doesn't even deserve minimum wage!!!!

Yuck! Some people are just evil and down right mean. They just don't care. Others watched her do it? OMG!! Pretty sick.

I know some probably don't wash their hands once they "answered the call of nature", but spitting on a sandwich is definitely a serious issue. 
I understand the job can be boring, but don't do unto others what you don't want others to do unto you.
