Chattanooga Chuck says - Early Spring for Tennessee!

While we wait to find out what the famous Pennsylvania Groundhog predicts, our local groundhog, Chattanooga Chuck, has declared that we will have an early spring!
We actually had a spring day yesterday as around 3 pm the temperature was 69 degrees and climbing. Today, 50 and rain, but far better than cold and snow.
Happy Groundhog Day and we really know that spring comes when it wants to not because some silly critter says so!

@AbbyGreenhill It's no good asking me that! I barely know what one is! Is it the same thing as a prairie dog? Or don't you know either?

@JudyEv Those are much smaller...we've disposed of a few groundhogs that were over 20 pounds.

That would be nice. I wouldn't have remembered it was Groundhog;s Day today if I hadn't seen the groundhog on Bing when I was there earlier.

I'm all for Chattanooga Chuck's forecast! I'll take him for a ride on the Choo-Choo next time I'm in town!

We here in the south have an early spring, but about 8 years ago we had such a severe frost in late april it killed all the threes that were blooming.
