Deleting memories.

Everyone has at least one memory in their lives that they would like to forget (whatever the reason), right? Of course we forget some, but it's something temporary... Because at some point some of them may come back (and leave quickly again). Wouldn't it be amazing if our brain could delete some memories?

Actually, the brain can and does do this. However, those who have lost their memories would love to have them back.

Yes there are certain memories I would like to forget however I am lucky in the way that I can manage not to think of bad memories at will. If someone asked me about something that was bad in my life of course I would remember it all and tell them but I don't dwell on the bad memories only the good.

Our brain does have that ability after someone undergoes a big emotional shock. But we can't choose when and which memories to forget.

That would be nice because it is always those memories that we can't seem to let go of!!
