Don't Take Life for Granted

Today is a very sad day for some very good friends of ours. The couple were on a cruise with lots of their family members celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and were suppose to come visit us tomorrow when departing the ship. They got a call saying that their one son that was still home in Pennsylvania died suddenly. He was 40 years old and decided not to go on the cruise with the rest of their family. They just called us and are getting ready to board the plane for the worst return trip of their lives. How does one go home after celebrating for a week to face the saddest day of their lives.

I can't imagine what they are going through. To lose your only child is something no parent can handle.

That is so sad and I don't know how I would cope if I heard that news about one of my children. Prayers for them

It is really the worst thing that can happen to parents. Having to bury a child.

Luckily they are religious people and are coping better than expected. At least it appears that way.
