I Can't Believe It Happened!

Something happened to me the other day that really surprised me. But, I can't get into the details of how it happened. Let's just say, I am the biggest klutz in the world! My face got hit and I got a big and noticeable bruise on my chin! This is the first time in my life that my face has ever gotten a bruise on it! I have been putting concealer and makeup on my chin to try and hide it and that helped a little. I went on YouTube and found a video of how to cover bruises on the face and I also found another article online about how to cover facial bruises. I did learn one thing, I didn't know from them. They both said if the bruise is dark brown (which mine is), use a lighter concealer under your makeup. I had a lighter concealer that I have not used in years. When I bought it originally, I realized it was the wrong shade. So, I put it away, never thinking I would use it again. I used it today and it has helped more than it did yesterday when I used a darker concealer. Have you ever had a bruise on the face where you have tried to cover it with makeup?

I'm sorry you got hit in the face and hope that bruise goes away quickly. I've never been bruised in the face. I should have since I got hit in the head with a baseball once during a game. That really hurt.

Never tried to hide it with makeup but I did have a bruise on my chin one winter when I slipped on ice and snow and my chin met with the ground

@LeaPea2417 It was painful for awhile when I touched it and the bruising was around for a week. One person did say I was lucky not to have fractured my jaw and that is true.

Yes, playing as a kid could cause them.

Yes it happened, I was behind a door and my husband opened the door that hit my face. I have always loved to learn the make up tricks, it was not too difficult to cover.

War wounds should be displayed proudly! I don't own make-up - tossed it in the trash years ago. I had a black eye years ago but that's a story for another time.
