Do you enjoy receiving unexpected visits?

I don't think it's too cool. Obviously it's nice to be remembered, to know that people want to come visit you and everything else. But I think not warning before arriving is a bit of a lack of education and usually causes some nuisance (and the reasons may be several). Earlier today my parents were visited by friends who came without warning, and the house was a mess because we were doing some repairs at the doors. Imagine the situation... Having to clean everything up quickly at that very moment?

To me it depends on who wants to come visit. If it is someone I like then I do not mind and open the door happily.

Me neither. I hate it when people come by unexpectedly. It is indeed a nuisance and uncalled for. I'd rather have it planned or no visits at all. Especially here in the Philippines, people tend to be too family oriented that relatives from all over just drop by every once in a while without notice. I'm not fond of entertaining guests so I'm often known as the snob in the family, it's their fault they always come uninvited.

Me too. I don't like doing a hurricane cleaning and stuff all the things in the backroom to make way for the visitors. I'm really annoyed.

I think it shows a lack of respect to just come by. Who knows what plans someone might actually have! As for a mess from repairs well that would be something the visitors probably understood!

Some unexpected visits are really nice. Others, like maybe a complaining or grumpy neighbor-not so much. Even they are real friends, they won't mind that you are in the middle of a mess.

Nowadays I guess people expect to be warned of a visit. When I was a child we didn't have a phone so most visits were unexpected.

I don't like unexpected guests. I like to know when people are coming for a visit. I would never go to somebodys house unexpectedly either.

Even I don't like receiving unexpected guests.I think they should inform and come because its my practice I don't like to give trouble to anyone as everyone has their plans.
