Just walk

Because there were no jeepneys around yesterday, i was 'forced' to just walk from our house going to the market. It is not that far, though, around 3 kilometers maybe. Taking it as an opportunity, i walked fairly fast. Brisk walking. Exercise you know. And surprisingly, i feel better, more energetic throughout the day. So, i decided to walk again today. Aside from saving my fare, i am doing myself a favor of exercising. How about you, do you enjoy walking?

@Yadah04 i get one every 3 weeks now, and it's nice that a lot of small independent spas have opened up here, just one jeepney ride away. but the market and the big grocery store are just a few blocks away.

@hereandthere that is great. i mean, commercial centers are not just confined to a block. i guess we have to thank the booming economy for that?

I don't enjoy walking much but I know that if you do, it gets the endorphins going and makes you feel better and more alive.

@Yadah04 Would you believe - too lazy? Sometimes I enjoy walking. It depends on where it is really.

Right, right. I heard that endorphins thing before. Then it is a good idea to keep walking then. If i may ask, why do you not enjoy walking? Got a bad back? Or feet?

@Yadah04 I lost the weight faster by walking with friends in this area and am keeping the weight off. I use to have a gym membership and would go up and down the scale.

yes, and it is a cheaper alternative to exercise rather than go to the gym.

I also do walking sometimes. We really need exercise to avoid sickness.

Exactly. All for the health. It is challenging to walk though when we are aging.

There you go, that's hiking. Hiking can be on level ground, you don't need a mountain to take a hike. Good for you!!

look at that. all i knew was that hiking should be on the mountains, or anywhere hilly.
