Former Chicago White Sox and Washington Redskins right handed pitcher Mat Latos, 29, has signed a minor league contract with the Toronto Blue Jays on Thursday. Latos will be making an attempt to make the Blue Jays roster during Spring Training either as a starting pitcher or relief pitcher during the 2017 Major League Baseball season. The Blue Jays decided to take a chance on Latos who became a free agent at the end of the 2016 Major League Baseball season when the baseball season ended. If Latos makes the Blue Jays roster, he will be paid $1.5 million dollars plus $500,000 dollars in incentives as both a starter and relief pitcher in 2017.

That bum? He's still only 29. Maybe he can revive himself like Joe Blanton did.
