Sports star vs actors.. who can earn more(money and fans) per year?

I think be it a sport or a movie, to earn the fame, one need excellence. if that is achieved, a sport star needs endorsements and a movie star needs big production house. every year a sport star can participate in "n" number of tournaments and apart from the cash prizes he can earn from his endorsements, whereas a movie star can hardly do a movie or two per year. So, who will get more reach in fans and who can earn more?
