Lake on fire

One of Bengaluru's lakes is on fire. Strange as it may sound it is all because of toxic waste that is dumped there. Dumping toxic waste is not new to Bengaluru. A year ago or so the very same lake was spewing foams that resembled snow. What is taking authorities to address this issue is a million dollar question. Pollution is spreading like wildfire. Bengaluru was once termed 'Retirement Paradise' but sadly it has lost that title.
Bengalurus Bellandur lake is in news again. A fire broke out at this lake, considered to be one of the biggest in the city on Thursday evening sending out huge cloud of toxic smoke.

All factories nearby are guilty of dumping toxic waste in that lake

@allknowing like what was said before, evil succeeds not because of evil men doing things but because of good men doing nothing.

How terrible for things like to happen. Do they do anything to remedy it or is it like here they turn a deaf ear and a blind eye to the whole affair? So sorry that that has happened. I have seen things in other countries too that makes your hair stand on end it really does.

We had a burning river in Australia not so long ago because of the chemicals which were being poured into the water.

And this is done by big industries knowing fully well what it does to people around. Where has conscience disappeared?

@allknowing Certainly the big industries are only interested in the immense profits they can make.

Oh that was sad. I hope the authorities can do something to clean the place and back it to its normal shape. God bless. I hope the government of any country must try to be responsible and quick to any possibility that could lead their country into any types of harm and calamity.
