I hate hearing the news of earthquakes. It makes me feel so nervous. I don't know what to do when it happens. No matter how knowledgeable we are we still don't know where it could lead us plus the facts of the destruction it will give specially to the families and economy of our country. Don't you hate earthquakes too?

My area has a lot of small earthquakes. Its important to be prepared by having enough bottled water, food that won't spoil, first aid kit, money, flashlights, batteries and have all the items in a place where you would be able to easily find them, if the power goes out now. There are more items in my large barrel. Every student in school learns about items that should go into the barrel. The most important thing is to make sure everyone is safe after the earthquake. Yes, I do feel nervous and when I moved here there was a large earthquake and my bed with me in it left the wall so fast that I was really scared. Some people in my area didn't survive, so felt very lucky.

Yup, especially when I lived in the mountains. It makes me nervous when there's an earthquake.

There's a lot of trees there that might break or they are too strong not to break?

I'm not just hating earthquake but I think I am also too scared of this disaster. It's like it's the end of the world when the whole surrounding are shaking. Seems like nowhere to go and nowhere to hide.

Same here.... I remember the worst earthquake that the Philippines had suffered in Baguio. I don't want that to happen again. I was still young then when it happens and it really make me scared. We live in Manila that time and I was in school and saw how the wall outside shakes.... And I just thought my classmates was shaking my chair... The class was immediately cancelled and I saw my mom at home praying and saw in the television what happened to Baguio it was a disaster...

Same here and also kidnapping by those stupid people who has no power to fire at their real target and settle with the innocent people. Honestly I am scared of those things that I have no control... I remember one time when the man pull out his knife in front of me and try to get the other passenger's cell phone... Gladly there are police nearby so they runaway.

@luisadannointed - Ms Luisa - Perhaps the really good provided by earthquakes is that they have kept this earth from bein just, plain flat. -Gus-
