For some time now I've noticed
that people have been saying,
one's writings and poetry
on other sites displaying.
Plagiarism is the sneaky theft
of someone else's work
Copied and transgressed
to gain the credit perk!
Every stolen word
that doesn't belong to you,
Is the song of someone's heart
that only they should impart!
Don't be a kidnapper
of another persons thoughts
a plagiarist will not be tolerated
by the esteemed myLot sort!

I wouldn't dream of stealing someone else's creative work. That said. I often look at photos of quilts and other craft projects. Rather than spend money on the pattern I recreate something very similar using my own creativity...is this also a form of plagiarism?

I don't think so, Morley. Many display their work for that very reason to give others ideas. If you were to take the same patterns and designs and then make a book out of them that might be considered plagiarism if you were getting money for something written down or printed off, but otherwise I wouldn't consider it stealing at all.

@MarshaMusselman that's how I feel when I share photos of my work. I always hope that others find it inspiring.

Anyway whatever we say they don't get it and just earn from what they stole. There is this blogger who copy-paste a blog and then earn from it 60000.00 pesos a month. And he was happy about it. But for him he just want to do some earning tonsupport his daily living. While others are bloodily squeezed their minds with their idea and earn coins. Funny but true... Funny but frustrating at times.

@Inlemay that's sad to here.... I wonder how can somebody live and sleep like that. Maybe for them it is just a game.

I've found several of my posts on other sites. These sites don't display a name or address where I could send my complaint to. What can I do? Should I get a lawyer for international copyright law for such a trifle? I can only fume!
@LadyDuck This happened to me on bubblews. A post of mine appeared under a different name some days after I had posted it. How silly can one get? Of course, it was deleted at once.

I have made a search and here is a link with step by step instructions to report Plagiarism:
I had a couple of my old posts copied on another site, but I was able to contact the Moderator.
If you have the name of the site I can check where to send the complain.
Content authors: Report plagiarism of your Web site to Google or Yahoo. Students: Report a student who is cheating. I will contact the student's teacher for you.

Great poem. The colors of your shirts drew me here since we took several when we were in Hawaii with my sisters and I in coral and the guys in blue.
