Live, from myLot, it's Saturday night! Last Saturday I began my countdown of favorite songs with "Saturday" in the title. I'm getting close to the end, then I'll work on the other days of the week. Meanwhile, here's the next no-surprise song on the list. #3: Saturday Rolling Around - Richard & Linda Thompson Yeah, it's Richard Thompson time again. This is one of the two songs on the countdown that does not have "night" in the title (that means one of the next two songs doesn't, either....is that helping those of you betting on certain songs?). And, oh, what a celebration! The music in this song captures pretty much the way we feel when we wake up without the alarm going off on Saturday morning. It's got a little Cajun feel, which Thompson revisited in his solo career on "Tear-Stained Letter" (covered by Cajun artist Jo-El Sonnier). After the next album (Shoot Out the Lights), Richard and Linda Thompson broke up their marriage and, by extension, their act. They've both enjoyed successful careers (Linda as an award-winning songwriter, Richard as the legendary guitarist he is). Celebrate Saturday with this terrific tune! Saturday Rolling Around Written by Richard Thompson Recorded by Richard & Linda Thompson From Sunnyvista, 1979 Gonna take a train and ride away:

Well, both of my guesses have "night" in the title. I'm hoping for a balk.
