Sunrise

Over the years I have attempted hundreds of sunrise photos.
Some of these pictures are good, others not so much, but very few of them show the colours that my eye was seeing.
This was Friday morning around 7 AM. The colours are close, but still didn't quite manage the pinks. I tried with my iPad and my smartphone...eventually I decided that the photo taken with my smartphone seemed to be a bit better.

I saw that sunrise and it was glorious and when I took the photo with my ipad it was dull...I haven't done anything with it but if you have an editing program, use it, It will put the color right back I will find my photo and add it here if the color does come back when I edit it...
I have houses in front of my house so missed a lot..

@PainsOnSlate I have a beautiful view out of every window and even to tweet where I don't have any windows, living out in a rural area is a blessing.

I'm fortunate. I have a very deep front yard...and an empty field across the road.

You don't know how lucky you are @Morleyhunt it takes humidity and clouds for the sun to create such a sunrise or sunset for that matter.

We need better cameras! Not sure which one, but there has to be something out there for those of us loving photography.

@Morleyhunt Me too. Something small, inexpensive and that will do the job a million dollar camera will do.

I don't want too many bells and whistles, but I'm definitely in the market for a new camera.

@Morleyhunt Every time I tell to myself that I have to go through all the camera settings and see how I can disable the color correction to catch what my eyes see. I am sure I will arrive one day.

It doesn't stop me from trying. Someday, I'll take the perfect picture.

The silhouette is the easy part. It's capturing the many hues that seems impossible.

Lovely photo and you did capture the colors quite well. I find that is the issue, what I see with y eyes is lovely but getting that onto the photo, not so easy. My Canon Rebel is better at capturing it than my iPhone these days.

I see many sunrises...the special ones are the ones I try to photograph. Someday I will get the perfect shot.

What a beautiful shot! I agree pictures just don't do justice. What the eye sees and how the pictures turn out just aren't the same.

There wer so many more pinks and corals in evidence than this photo shows. It gives a bit of the feel, but to me, it falls short.

They are. There is something soothing about the spectacular sunrise.

You could use this photo to promote a smartphone and anyone who saw this image would be very likely to purchase one, but besides this, I want my wife to look at it and she will also enjoy it.
