It was a shocking to know that 15 students died in a vehicular accident in Tanay, Rizal when the tourist bus slammed into the electric post while slopping down the road. Many students were also seriously injured in a tragic accidents that caused the shocked of the people not only in the said part of the country but the whole Philippines. Investigation is going but it was already learned that the bus brake failed because there was no skid mark in the cemented road. The students were on field trip and was passenger of the bus when the bus met the accident, the driver also died in the incident. Vehicular accidents have been common in the Philippines. In our province alone, many motorcycle riders have been killed in the road in this year alone. The problem, there seems no solution to this program because until now I have not heard of any program to vehicular accident prevention.

I havent heard of this tragic accident. But i think that buses should be looked after with better care. It is very dangerous in situations like this when the breaks fail. Which means that something before wasnt working well on the bus.

@ilocosboy Yes. It is a sad thing to hear now a days. News from the philippines dont usually get spread around here in Portugal so it isnt something that we would hear of normally. Only if we read the news online of those specific locations.

From time to time, I think this happens almost anywhere. Sad when something like this happens and hope they can figure out if their was an issue besides maybe a Health issue with the driver and if so, keep it happening to someone else.

Also they should give importance to quick response during accident, it's disaster when response team try to rescue because they are too late

Now there are many related accidents of students going on field trips. I wonder if that should be banned in school and students just stay inside school premises to make sure they are safe than allowing them to go outside. My sister had a camp somewhere there in that place too but their field trip is safe

@ilocosboy I think most field trips are safe. But sometimes bad luck strikes. They should plan well their field trips and think of possible accidents they will encounter and be alert and ready

I'm in favor of field trip in school because it's part of learning program of the students but there should be a proper guidance and security process of the vehicles used and the students.
