Peter King of Monday Morning Quarterback (MMQB) said on his one reports recently the Arizona Cardinals are interested in getting Chicago Bears as their backup quarterback behind Carson Palmer. Kent Somers who is a beat writer for the Arizona Cardinals denies any reports that the Cardinals are interested in getting Cutler to join their team to work with Palmer as his backup in 2017. Cutler is not likely to remain with the Chicago Bears in 2017 so it is possible that he will wind up with another football team that will be needing his services but working as Palmer's backup quarterback in 2017 is not the cards. Pun intended. However it would behoove the Cardinals to groom a quarterback for the future since Palmer who is 37 years of age is on his lean years of playing football for the Cardinals beyond the 2017 football season.

That is true since a team that is in contention without a lead quarterback is lost at sea.
