My friend sometimes not the brightest crayon in the box. She told me she went out for coffee with this guy she met off our group. She was warned the type of guy he is. He's very vulgar and cocky type. Well she kept saying how wouldn't date him because of this. Next thing she messages me and goes should I ask him out . I said it's up to you in the end but really this is my view of him. Well she asks him out and least he was honest he's just looking for a 'friend' if you know what I mean. So now she's like maybe he will change his mind. 'Face palm'

She's not bright. Just shake my head and no wonder she's like he's an idiot after a few dates and slept with him.

"Not the brightest crayon in the box" - I have not heard that variation before. I love it!

@CoralLevang Next heard that one. We say not the brightest tool in the shed.

@ricki_911 In the UK we're more likely to say "not the sharpest tool in the box".

She knows the way he is and chooses to go out with him anyway. Not very bright.

She likes something about him, nothing you can tell her, she is going to do what she wants.

I agree, but she keeps asking why she can't find a right guy. I told her to stop obsessing about it and enjoy her life.

@CookieMonster46 Exactly! I told her what I thought. I don't think she gets out often and her kids are grown now.So she doesn't know what to do.
