Animal Cruelty

That's our cat Sven, this picture was taken a day after we rescued him from the streets. He is such a sweet baby. Anyway, I'm a member of a lot of facebook groups that are about pets, cats in general since I am a cat person. I have 3 cats at home and I love them as if they're my kids. They are the first ones I greet each morning and even the first ones I fed before myself. They look so adorable and cute, they sleep most of the time but when they're awake - they're the funniest with all their tricks and antics. So I sometimes wonder, how can anyone or anybody for that matter hurt such harmless creatures? Aren't we supposed to be caretakers of the earth and all its inhabitants? I can't help but think that humans are the most inhumane beings especially whenever I see facebook posts or even news about animal cruelty.

@slayer08 yes, and our local mutt Trixie, was was ridden by Thor, Xander, and Zeus, appear pregnant again. if her pregnancy continues, i might give away her puppies once they reach a month young.

@slayer08 Yes, indeed. Intentional cruelty can only be found with human beings, not with animals.

@MALUSE sadly that is true. And to think we're the ones with the capacity or capability to be kind instead of cruel but there are instances we often choose otherwise.

I love cats and it really makes me feel sad when a cat gets hurt due to human cruelty. Infact I feel so helpless when group of dogs attack cat in night times . I lost one of my cat due to that.

We have pitbulls and bulldogs at my parents' place. Though each one is kept in his/her respective cage (ferocious nature), we treat them with utmost love and care.

maybe,. but I've often seen things done by humans that are really bad, to animals and to other humans as well.

Seeing posts about animal cruelty are indeed sad. Agree with your last statement, sometimes humans are the most inhumane beings here in the world.

I have one proven idea... They are the kids who was thought of cruelty by their parents. They think of them as a pest, never did they think those cats help us to get rid if the true pest like rats. Or sometimes they are the grown up kids who were never thought by their parents or if not they are tolerated by their parents to d on cruelty in animals that they brought as they grew up.

I think so too. I have cousins who are just cruel to animals and I cannot stand being around them. They always complain about the smell of pets and etc. I actually feel sorry for them. They never knew how great it is to be loved by a pet.

he's always like that, would you believe that we saw him outside our gate asking for food, then we gave him some and he never left until we just adopted him.

wow, I can barely handle 3 lol. There was a time though, when I was depressed I took in 1 cat who gave birth to 6 kittens and I kept 5. Then the same cat gave birth to another set of 6 kittens and I have to take care of all of them until I gave them to friends and relatives when my family moved out of the house.
