Helle MyLot Friends, Do you like travelling? If yes do you want to go some other country than yours? If you are supposed to pick only one country to travel which one will you pick? I was in Japan for more than a year for my job responsibilities and I liked the place very well. But if I am supposed to pick one country I will chose Brazil.. but if I get more money and time then I will have a Europe Tour (specially France, Italy, Switzerland).. In fact I will not leave a chance to go to any country. Let me know yours. P.S. - If any one planning to come to India, let me know.

I would like to visit France. Japan would be a great place to visit. Money certainly is always a challenge, as would love to travel to lots of places.

I'm afraid I can't pick one country. I mean, if I had the money to go somewhere, then I'd have to make a choice, wouldn't I?! Soooo, erm, I think I'd go somewhere where there's nature - green - the sea - sun - and some quiet - with lovely fruits, good healthy food, and nice folks. Spain would be nice, or somewhere in Greece - perhaps Santorini.

I have been to 25 different countries and my favorite was Switzerland, although I enjoyed all the places that I have been. I have also been in 44 different states of the U.S. including Alaska and Hawaii. Now, I don't travel as much as I used to. Lately, I have been visiting interesting places near where I live.

Well I've been on the docks in Mexico for a high school choir trip in which we performed on one of the Carnival cruise ships (before they started breaking down in the middle of the ocean). But if I had to pick only one country to travel in and explore I would have to select France. I have always loved the language, culture, and history. I studied French for 3 years in high school and another two years in college. I also studied French History and French Military History of World War II as electives in college (yes for fun)! Two years ago the high school I had been working at as a substitute teacher for 8 years needed a French teacher so I attempted to start my teaching certification process there but was unable to, so I served as a long-term substitute in the French classroom working with the current upper level French teacher and a retired French teacher for lesson planning. During the course of this part of my career I reconnected with one of my former high school French teachers who had moved to Texas from France. Originally he visited Texas as a foreign exchange student, he returned to my hometown just a couple of years later to attend college at our local university. It was then that he was hired to teach my classroom as our original teacher left us without notice in the middle of a class period and never returned. He would tell us all about his childhood and home life from Provence and I fell in love with a place I have yet to visit. When he and I reconnected as I reached out for help as a new teacher I discovered he and his wife lead guided tours in his hometown every summer. This tour also includes a day-stay with his mom where she teachers those that are willing about trick-riding on horses, and the day concludes with a traditional meal she has prepared.

@shaggin I am not sure how much it is feasible in your country, but you can use public transport. I do not have car so I use public transport.

Yes Shaggin, travelling is expensive specially if you plan to go outside of your country. I use to travel within my country and that is kind of Week end trips.
