This morning, the barangay public officials came to our house and they talked to my mother. They told her that it is no longer allowed to burn our garbage. We usually burned those leaves before. We collect the plastic bottles and other plastics and give to the buyer of plastics and metals that comes every now and then. My mother told us about it that it is no longer allowed, so I asked her, if they don't allow it, will they come and collect our garbage? She said no. Hmmm! I just hope there will be proper collection of garbage in my hometown soon.

we must have an open pit in our backyard and throw our garbage there. the leaves can be fertilizers, so why not just leave them on the ground? our garbage collection days here are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. after the typhoon, we were allowed to burn the dried leaves only in the afternoon and not morning because the air is fresh that time. i wonder, you should have 2 responses, why only one, that's me?

Yup, maybe we will have another pit because we have no other choice. Hmmm And maybe we will just dump the leaves beside our southern fence. It's a bit low in that area.

The collection and recycling of garbage is well organised in Germany. From the waste electricity is generated.

@brokenbee A clever business person could start organising this. You can earn a lot of money with garbage if you're clever.

They are right. Burning in open causes pollution as well as global warming.

That is a good move but they have to collect also the garbage and dried leaves. It's no good telling people not to burn but they don't have programs to manage the dried leaves and twigs.
