There is a public bike service here and it is called Mobike. I like their service because it is not expensive at all. It costs no more than $0.10 for half an hour. It is not expensive at all. I think it can somewhat encouage people try to use more greenery transportation. Now it offers three days for riding free of charge. That's so cool! This is why today I went to work by bike

New York City has a bike service, too, but not for free. People are complaining that they are taking up too many precious parking spaces. Go Green!

I don't agree that the bikes take up many parking spaces. A car will take up more spaces

If the price is expensive, it will not encourage people to rend these bikes.

That is so cheap even school children can rent the bike. I wish there's such a service in my country.

Here the children who under 12 years old are not allowed to ride a bike to the street because it is dangerous. I don't let my child ride it to go to school. But we can ride it like a sightseeing trip to some peaceful places in my city

@youless That law makes sense. Children that age may not be as matured to handle vehicles on the road.

It is something environmental friendly! If more and more people go to work by bike, there will be less and less smog in cities.

Mobike has the services in many cities in China already. I think it will be available in your city, too.

@changjiangzhibin89 Even the small cities like Nanning, Haikou etc. The Mobikes are available there. So I think your city will have such kind of service soon.

That is definitely very cool! Are the bikes in good condition? I wish that something like that was done here. It would encourage exercise!

If some people don't damage them, these bikes are in good condition. You know I can't expect everybody is kind.

@youless No, not everyone is kind and considerate of others properties. I sitll think it's quite a good price considering the price could be higher to maintain the bikes good working condition.

Wish there were more countries that did this. We have cycles on hire but not many are seen riding them.

Mobike seems like a great idea. I know some urban centers here in the States have public bike services available for a fee, but I don't know how much those fees are.

This is a great idea isn't it? I think there might be a free bike service in the Netherlands. There are bikes in Melbourne too but you are supposed to wear a helmet and often there is no helmet.
