The USA deserves better

I can't believe that I woke up from a nap tonight to discover that Trump's Press Secretary had barred 3 national news outlets (New York Times, CNN, and Politico) from his press conference. This whole war on the press is out of hand. He is the President and has to grow a thick skin and learn to take criticism. That is what the free press (and democracy) is all about. He needs to stop screaming "fake press" about everything he doesn't like and this new development of banning certain outlets who are investigating his Russian ties needs to stop right in its tracks.
Yesterday the story was that the White House tried to get the FBI to say that there was nothing to the Russia stories while there was an active investigation going on. Isn't that called "obstruction of justice"?
Add this with the disaster that is Kellyanne Conway, the disaster that is Betsy DeVos, the rest of the Cabinet, the horrific Muslim ban, "fake news", and the new reversal of LGBQT protections, Trump's first press conference, oh I could go on. All of this in the first month. It has been nothing but one nightmare after another.
The rest of the world is laughing at us. We are losing our standing and position of power in the world because Cheeto von Tweeto is so incompetent. This country deserves better. We all deserve better. We need to put pressure on our Representatives and Senators to get rid of this jacka$$. The country made a monumental mistake electing him.

Everyday it just keeps getting more ridiculous. I feel for your country. It really upsets me when I still read people say he is good for your country try and that he is making America better.

Those are people who are believing the actual fake news that the White House is putting out, and not investigating other sources on their own.

Unfortunately, we don't deserve better. As the saying goes, we get the government we deserve. Trump is the symptom, he isn't the cause. We, as Americans, have sat on our lazy butts and let our government turn into a money game. Our politicians are bought; and, to a degree, we're bought (why do you think Bernie Sanders was so popular? He was offering free stuff to people!).
Consider this quote from a business CEO in 1943: "The historical cycle seems to be: From bondage to spiritual faith; from spiritual faith to courage; from courage to liberty; from liberty to abundance; from abundance to selfishness; from selfishness to apathy; from apathy to dependency; and from dependency back to bondage once more." Sound familiar? That's what's wrong with America, not Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton. They're only reflections; and, as we don't want to confront the truth of what's staring us back in the mirror they make easy targets.

Everyone is talking about impeachment and "wait until midterm elections", but seriously? We won't last two years at this rate. We won't even make it to the end of this year.

@NJChicaa I hope not, but I worry that no one in power will take action against him and have it stick. I'm very worried that the nation will weaken further.
