Would you like to work from home?

How many of us heard about this on the TV or radio? No, this is not to sell you on a pipe dream but I am, personally, working from home with a non-profit company. Companies are moving from the office to the home. It has its advantages and disadvantages. Me, I like it but it has made me lazy. Nevertheless, it does saves me gas and when it snows, I am doing overtime from home. What about you? Would you like to work from home and why?

Yes, I enjoy working from home, especially as a mom. I am not attached to any company, but a freelancer, as I'd like to spend more time taking care of my children. Working at home gives me more flexibility and freedom, though as you said, there are some disadvantages too. It does not make me lazy, but actually more hardworking, perhaps it's because I have other duties at home, so I seize the time where I can work and I can actually complete my work more efficiently than when I was in office. Not only we can save the gas, but also traveling hassle, time, meeting and others, and we can focus on our work better. It's good that you are working with a company, so your monthly income is secured!

I like that! "your monthly income is secured" while he claims to work at a non profit company.

I work at home on the Internet. The trouble with working at home is that people think you are not doing anything and intrude on your time.

That is bound to happen unless you live alone.

@akalinus It is a little insulting to know that people think that way, but at least they have got the message now that you do not have time on your hands.

@41CombedaleRoad I have neighbors. No one asks anymore but people always used to ask for rides to appointments and such. Because "you aren't doing anything."

It is my dream to have a flexible job schedule. I would like to work from home someday. It is the reason I am investing my time studying how to earn online. I decided that I am going to start from having my own blog first. At the moment, I am not yet earning anything but I know that in time, I will reap what I sow.

I never really really worked from home, but my wife did for for about ten years, as a recruiter for an engineering company in New Jersey. They were construction managers for the rebuild of the World Trade Center (now Freedom Tower). After it was nearly completed, she visited, was given a tour and had her photo taken on the 102nd floor. She got to write her name on the core wall of the observation deck before the dry wall was in.

I would love to work from home along with my part-time job. Using cash apps, eBay, and writing on paid forums sites are the only ways that I have earned income online. I live close to my part-time job. So unless the weather is really bad, commuting there and back isn't really an issue. I am someone who likes flexibility. I would be very happy if I found an online job that would work for me.

I have an office and have no experience working at home yet. I'm not closing the doors to it, though as I'd like to have more time at my disposal.

Yes I would like to work from home as I would have the freedom to rest when I need to as I injured my neck many years ago and had to have 4 surgeries, so I have to limit myself on the computer. What do you do for this non-profit company? And how much do you make?

@Montecristodog Thanks for the tips I will check it out as I live in Northeastern Pa so working for someone in VA Beach wouldn't work for me but maybe the app will show me something else that I can do.

I work with a church ministry handling calls from home. I make enough to survive. They are based in Virginia. You would have to stay in VA Beach for at least 90 days. If this does not work for you, download the free app 60 ways to make money. God bless and praying you get better.

I would definitely like to work from home as I was wasting four hours a day commuting. And was spending a bomb for autos as a mode of transport as buses are too crowded. The pollution on the roads is also very high as everyone finds it fashionable to own a two or a four wheeler. The infrastructure has not kept pace to match the increase in the population. Even though new modes of transport have come there is still a gap between demand and supply which is there. One more thing in the office is you cannot have lunch on time here as there will be customers especially in a service industry. And customers are God. We have to serve them before we have our lunch. Now it is night time and calm and I am working from the comfort of my home in a resting position which is a luxury as if it were a office I cannot get up from my seat once I sit on the chair. During peak season things are worse. There is also no time of closure as we have to be there till customers are there as money comes from them. Looking at all this I am working from home to protect my health and get more time to work. If I am in my home I get four more hours extra to work.

Try Ipsos surveys. They are good and the payoff is low. Also, some airlines may be hiring for work at home jobs.

I would love to work from home. I just want to find the right kind of work-from-home job for me. Online writing always caught my eye. I tried it in the past, but it was challenging. I would love to give it another try, though.

I always want to work from home as it gives freedom to us to work at any time we want. Lately I am not on many sites but I think if I work hard too on many sites I don't be able to earn equal to what I am earning from my offline job.

I work at home and I agree with you that it has somehow makes us lazy but it has its perks. I wanted to make enough though since I'm only earning based on projects I take. I wanted to be able to have a stable monthly income.
