You may lose weight but your muscle adds more. This means that your fat will reduce but add more muscle. So, exercising will eliminate your unwanted fat but you may increase your muscle le. For example if you do push-up and other exercises that involves your muscle activity.

@destinykst Yes, you lose fat but you add muscle accordngly. However, the more you exercise but reduce protein intake, at least not as much. Try doing this way.

Muscle mass will not increase as much as you lose fat if you limit protein intake that plays a role in increased muscle mass.

My doctor had recommended weight lifting which helps add muscle.

I do a lot of push-up to be economical for the time being. It costs a lot to join a fitness club.

Definetely!! You can start exercising without weights in order to get used to the right positions and then start adding weights!!! In the first three months, you will see much difference if your fat level is not that high. However, you need at least some months to really gain these muscles and not loose them after a while.

Walking will only lose your fat but it does not increase muscle unless you finish your walking with doing a lot of push-up workout.
