Do You Love Empanada?

Yes, I do. Yesterday, I accompanied some relatives visiting a relative whom I don't really know well. This relative served a lot of food and one of those were Empanadas. Empanada is a stuffed pastry.
It has been a long time since I last eaten Empanada. It was delicious and savoury that I have eaten 2 pieces besides other snacks.
Thinking about the Empanada, I made some today and boy they were delicious. Believe me or not. It was the first time I made this snack. I didn't want it savoury but sweet.
I googled how to make the pastry. I already had the taste of apple, raisins and cinnamon in my mind when thinking about the filling. I thought I could make the Apfelstrudel filling for the Empanada but I didn't have some of the ingredients and so I was creative again. As always when I baked.
I filled the Empanada pastry with cooked grated apples, raisins, butter, sugar and cinnamon. The kitchen smelt Christmas because of the cinnamon spice. Instead of frying the Empanadas, I baked them in the oven.
Do you like Empanada? Savoury or sweet? What kind of Empanada have you eaten?
I am sure I will make this snack again and maybe with pineapple filling. What do you think?
Anyway, have a successful new month of March. Time flies so fast.

I don't have many opportunities to eat empanadas but when I do, I enjoy them.

Yes, I love empanada. The mixture of the mixed ingredients to make up the fillings tastes so well. I am not much into a sweet empanada though.
But reading your post of putting some cinnamon, makes me wanna have a taste of that . But of course , it has a meat on it , right?

Empanada is one of my favorite comfort food. I both love the savory and sweet. I love the chicken empanada more than other meat fillings. I love sweet apple pies too. Are they easy to make?

I've never had a sweet one. I eat them spicy with meat and cheese.

@thelme55 the usual, my friend. lots of minced pork meat, carrots, potatoes, raisins, pepper and salt to taste. and it fills the dough, that a bite can give out its contents. i don't know if there are more ingredients now.

Yes, it is yummy. When you make a sweet filling for empanada instead of meat, then it's your dessert @Montecristodog.
