Lay's Beer 'N Brats

You know how every year Lay's holds a contest, where people send in their ideas for chip flavors? They pick three, make and sell them, and the winner gets a million bucks.
Well today, I came across the Beer 'N Brats flavored chips. And you know what? They taste pretty good.
Only, they don't taste like beer. Or brats. Or beer and brats. In fact, about the only thing that I can think of is that they taste kind of like a BBQ light chip. Except they really don't.
They do have flavor, it's just not the flavor that I expected. Sure, they taste good, but ultimately, they leave me disappointed.

I always like trying out the winning flavored. Most of them don't taste like what they supposedly are but they can be interesting. Here one year we had Maple Moose. It was different but not so bad.

Some of them I've really liked, like chicken and waffles, but a lot of them were disappointing.

@JudyEv - I get them at the supermarket, which is 2 1/2 miles from us. I usually take the bus, but sometimes I walk if it's a nice day.

Certain chips I could. Regular Lay's, for instance, which is why I rarely buy them

I tried the biscuit and gravy ones and they are good. My boyfriend is one of those that don't like to try new things so I more than likely will not get to try these or any other yummy chip or other food item that comes out.

Lol I like you flavor description. That was a cool idea... but not if it didn't taste like it. I know I tried the "gyro" chips... don't eat those unless you like lamb. A lot. Ugh. I wouldn't like it, but I would think a "General Tso's Chicken" flavor might go over well or a "Cheeseburger" (some kind of grill seasoning, cheese, dill and ketchup flavors)

I think they already did cheeseburger. I tell you what was good was the chicken and waffles.

The name sounds good ... and I know it was very disappointing for them not to taste like the name ... that would be why someone would buy them to begin with.

I seen those and thought, naaaa I will pass, Once I seen biscuits and gravy flavor, I almost gagged.
