It seems I have been through every one of my followers post at least those who are still active. I have responded to every comment left. I have check each category in the explore section. I feel like I have run out of stuff to read and people to interact with. The numbers where climbing fast and study and suddenly have come to a screeching halt. I feel good though because I was feeling like I was falling behind with the notifications the last week since everyone in our family has been sick. I hope I didn't leave anyone out if I did I am sorry and I will get to you. Sometimes I miss a few here and there but who doesn't just know that its not on purpose. It is just that there are a lot of people on here to interact with at any given moment especially lately.

Wow, that's a lot of work! I know I skip a lot of posts and comments, especially when I am active and get a ton of notifications. Maybe I need to develop a more systematic approach.

I found that if I go through each section its easier for me. I start by replying to anyone who has left a comment visit their post as well. Then I go through the followers and make sure to comment on at least one of their posts. When that is all done then I go the explore and when I don't see anyone that I haven't already interacted with from each section then I go to the follows and go to their discussions. I found that sometimes you tend to the notifications and they reappear and it turns out to be a notification for something you already have done and it turns to be a waste of time. Usually by the time I have made it through all of that I have a ton more people interacting to reply to and it keeps the interactions fairly study and the numbers going up surprisingly fast.

I thought that too at first but I have just a little bit over 100 flowers. I saved time by not interacting with followers who I noticed haven't been active for a long time. Otherwise I would probably not have made it through the list.

I cannot respond to quite a few posts but I do comment on every response I receive on my posts.

@lokisdad When someone responds that needs attention.

Every little bit of reciprocated interaction helps and is appreciated I'm sure.

@allknowing Yes you are right and it doesn't have to be a huge gesture more that you are trying to acknowledge them and return the interaction to show appreciation.

I follow so many people that some days I cannot visit all of them, but I do my best.

@lokisdad I do not lose time unfollowing, if they are inactive you do not see their posts and you do not receive notifications. I read many more than 20 discussions a day.

When you have a lot then breaking it up helps. Maybe 20 a day.I periodically go through unfollow anyone who isn't active this way it's fairly current and less wasted time for me.

I just go to the recent discussions and there is usually at least one I can relate to. For some reason some days there is lots that sounds interesting...other days I'm just not in the mood.

Sometimes I read a post and I have to reread it and it frustrates me and I have to find another post or skip the person for the day and come back later to avoid getting so mad that I don't want to read their work. There was a few users on here who wrote and the work was so nuts and hard to read and understand that I just stopped interacting with them. Interacting with others should be fun and leave a pleasant memory not one of frustration due to them just writing a post and it looking like someone just dumped out their brain on paper and said you sort it out.

@Morleyhunt they irritate me we know someone like that always doing the same thing and expects things to be different. She contacted my wife asking if we would let her stay with us and my wife dismissed it. Then my wife did what most of the other people don't do is ask the hard questions that she already knows the answers to but mostly to see what excuse or lie she comes up with. She was smart and chose to not lie and just stop messaging my wife. Later she posted on social media that nobody does anything for you unless you can give something.

@lokisdad that and those that screw up their lives...write about it....ask for advice....reject the advice...do the same stupid thing over. Again and again and again.

@ridingbet well popular is defined differently by each person but for me applied to this site I measure popularity by the amount of notifications and interaction you get.

That is a whole lot of notifications if I had that many I would probably look over at my cup of coffee and sway well you just won't do lol. That is good in a way you are at least popular.

@lokisdad i do not want to have that many notifications because i cannot make a discussion. i have to clean or reduce my notifications before making a new post. popular? i think when we have many discussions and you respond to others' posts, then that makes you popular, right?

Well, I personally am behind and trying to catch up, but it does seem like this site really slowed down lately again. How I work it, is I go one by one on my discussions and respond back to someone and then go check out their discussions to see if their is something I might have missed I want to respond back too.

I get annoyed when I interact and notification pops up either on something I already responded to or it doesn't show their comment and I hit refresh and nothing. If the post has a lot of comments it gets lost.

That's what I was hoping. I noticed the other day how I had people interacting with me but I was so sick I accidentally over looked them and I wanted to make sure to at least acknowledge them and their efforts even if it was late.

@jabouk you're welcome. You have always been cool to chit chat with so I try to maintain the connection. That's all I want for people to see I'm trying and to show me the same. It's how relationships work you have to keep working on them.

Yes thank you everyone is doing great rid of the flu. Notifications are one of those things you kind of love and hate to see at the same time at least for me it is.

@Courtlynn Yeah I also have to adjust the setting to make it easier for myself. The flu really does suck and I think someone told me that it had killed 19 people in North Carolina which makes you feel a little nervous.

It isn't as bad as you think. I break up the work.I will do ten then take a break go do something else. Maybe on another site most times I do it in between work tasks. I'm a pretty patient dude. Very laid back not much for feeling stressed especially over things that aren't life altering. When it's busy on here I don't realize how long I've been on because I am messaging back and forth it's fun the time flies. I'm a determined person I like to complete tasks I set out to do.
