Every morning when I take my pen to write,I first of all write "Ram" which is a popular name of God for us Hindus. My Conviction is that the first word written with my pen must be a God's name. What about you? Do you have any Superstition or Conviction??

I am not that superstitious. For example in my country i often hear that if I see a black cat crossing, in my way, I will have a bad luck the entire day?. But I believe that the black cat is a very cute creature that cannot cause any harm to any body :P

Many persons in my country also have the same Superstition. They believe if a black cat crosses your way,you are going to meet a bad luck or a failure.

Nothing exactly like that, but I have some others, after bad dreams I burn specific incense, to encourage bad spirits to leave and good or at least benign ones to stay

&Jessicalynnt,Here in my town there is a Muslim moulin a who burns incense to drive out evil spirits from allegedly haunted houses and from the bodies of those who,he thinks, are possessed by evil spirits.Burning incense is said to be an essential ritual in occult practices.

@else34 there are several religions that do that, even one of the supposed gifts taken to the baby jesus (in the bible, not that I follow that book but just as an example), took frankensense, which was to be burned during the making and signing of treaties

I don't have any such habits. But I do pray everyday. By the way what you are writing with a pen on everyday. I hardly use a pen everyday. I need a pen on weekends or when I have works in bank.

@Sreekala Let me tell you everything. The fountain pen I have been using was gifted to me by my mother when I was a teenager. To me it is the most invaluable gift.I havery been using this pen for last more than 10 years.During this time I had to change the nib five times. Now your next question.I love to write in my mother tongue HindI. Now I am trying to translate some wildlife adventures by Kenneth Anderson.I have read his books and they are simply great.I also pen down my own experiences.

It is good to start the day with positive energy. It's a matter of conviction not superstition.
