One example of this pertains to private citizens and business owners who have alternative energy systems, like solar and wind power systems. Indiana State Senate bill 309 has the same basic language of other legislation with the same goal, to allow Utility companies to legally rob consumers. The bills would require all consumers to buy ALL of our electricity from the Utility companies at full price and requires consumers with alternative energy systems to "sell" power generated by our systems at a "wholesale" (undoubtedly extreme small) rate which the Utilities would sell back to consumers at full price making even more HUGE PROFITS! These bills would make buying solar and wind systems uneconomical for home and small business owners who would like to utilize these systems to obtain free electricity and to save money. These bills would make us even more reliant on Utility Companies and subject to their ever increasing rates for electricity. Even if you never intend to buy an alternative energy system yourself, please help to stop giant utility companies in your area from this outragous power grab which would eliminately cost all of us.
