I think everyone knows I am diabetic and I have been type 2 since 2007. For years I took no medication and controlled my weight and diet, then a couple years ago I decided I wanted to eat, sweets and all the no no white foods. Well I got on metformin for a year, then 3 months ago he doubled the dose cause my A1C was not moving down but going up. In December I decided I want off this medication and the doctor told me to eat right, lose weight and I could. I began the food journal in January so I would know what jacked my sugar now. Now to March. The numbers were as high as 180 in the morning fasting, with meds. After I began to watch what I ate the numbers are in the normal range of 120`s But I also have lost from 157 pounds to 149 pounds. I still will cheat and have a slice of cake or an ice cream cone but I try to eat it early in the day, so I burn it out of my system. Three months ago my A1C was 7.6 and I just got the call to keep up the good work because I got it down to 6.8. The scale is like this : less than 5.7 not diabetic between 5.7 to 6.4 risk for diabetes 6.5 is prediabetic 7.0 or more diabetic I am happy with my numbers and I am Headed down to under 5.7 and yes the doctor said it is doable to reverse type 2 diabetes. I love my eye sight and my kidneys so its a no brainer for me to change.

That sounds so amazing. My mother-in-law is a diabetic. I already told her to pay attention to her diet and try to do more exercises. Actually I printed the healthy food list for diabetic so that she can follow it well. I don't know why her number is still high, even if she has a shot twice a day.
