To ride the same rails as my new series about songs with train in the title, this series is similar. The songs are about trains, but they don't have train in the title. Yes, you'll see "railroad" and "rails," but not the word "train" in the title. So, climb aboard, here's the first song about trains on the list. #10: Steel Rails - Alison Krauss A quick aside: one of my biggest pet peeves is people who claim to be a "big fan" of someone but cannot spell their name. So, all you fans, it's not "Allison" or "Krause." Alison Krauss blew the world away with here award-winning fiddle playing. Her sweet voice struck a chord as well, heralding in a new sub-genre of bluegrass. She's not really "bluegrass" in the traditional sense, and she's certainly not close to Sam Bush's "newgrass," either. Whatever it is, it's good. Dang, but this woman can sing. From her Grammy-award winning 1991 release came this beautiful song about someone who's hopped aboard a railroad car to get away ("I'm looking out ahead to keep my mind from turning back"). It's a stunner. Krauss has won a boatload of Grammys in her career, including that bold career move with Robert Plant (bold on both of their parts!), Raising Sand, which shows different sides of both artists. She's a great fiddler and a great singer, and we're lucky to have her. Robert Plant actually turned down a Zeppelin tour to keep working with her. They have a pretty good thing going.

I do not think I have ever heard of this one. My favorite one is probably "Crazy Train" by Black Sabbath.
