One more step towards girl education here in India

India is considered a country of diversity, people here are having different zones according to different areas of life........there are few very richest people of world, some upper middle class some lower middle class and many poor as well.
Though gender equality is becoming more common these days, yet there needs to be done some more work.. among it is educate more and more girls.
I have got news that Now, Class 12 girls to also get midday meal at school as Delhi government has decided.
Major announcements from the government:
According to reports, the government will also be allocating separate funds in its budget proposals for extending the scheme-- which as of now covers boy and girl students only till class 8
Further, the government claimed that Delhi will become the "first state" in the country to serve midday meal up to class 12.
I consider it a good step for betterment. what other things could be done any suggestions?

I agree that all poor children and every child should be served a hot meal daily at school. In addition, I think India has to work on its sanitation. My son's inlaws returned from a trip to India last week. They posted photos on Facebook of men urinating on walls and in doorways. They showed photos animals walking an the streets and doing their business. No one cleaned up. I could go on.

our new government and prime minister modi is doing so much in this area as well. cities are becoming more and more cleaner. But some people are hard to understand......but believe me everything in this regard is going in positive direction.

Govt needs to encourage people from villages to educate their children because most of them don't send their girl child to schools.

But food give should be properly checked otherwise several .bad incidents are also happening.

quality is tested most of the time. some times mistake do happen.........but media play loud such incidence
