Day 176 Proverbs 18:15 Proverbs 18:15 The heart of the prudent gets knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge. To be prudent is to be practical. It is practical for a person to get knowledge. To get knowledge, you need to listen. Solomon said the fear of the LORD was the beginning of knowledge, a wise man will increase learning, and a man of understanding will obtain wise counsel. Proverbs 1:5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: 7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. (KJV) When you apply your heart to obtain the knowledge of the LORD, to use wisdom in everything you do, and listen, you will increase your understanding of God’s Word. Let’s pray: Father, help me be practical when it comes to gaining knowledge and understanding of your Word. Help me listen instead of speaking, so I will understand what you impart to me. Give me wisdom in everything I do. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen. Copyright © 3 March 2017 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay

Again good and true words for the wise and the not-so-wise as well. Great prayer for Lent time.

"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction." It is very true. Thanks for the message, for you remind us to seek God's Words.
