My dog ate my supper!

Agrrr.... I'm preparing my supper tonight and placed it on a plate, I then turned around to get something from the fridge. I hear my husband yell Lily (my dogs name) and turn around to see her up on the counter eating my dinner!!! I am so mad at her but I guess it's our fault for letting her eat some human food occasionally. So now I have to go make myself something else, anyone have any suggestions?

I think it is very normal for the pets to steal our food sometimes because we adore and spoil them so much
Some will blame their pets or even give them a big lesson so that they will not steal the food again. I think it can work but I don't like this way. I am not strict to my pets.
