Former Chicago Bears quarterback Brian Hoyer, 31, has reached a two year contract deal with the San Fransisco 49ers on Wednesday. Hoyer will be the only quarterback under contract with the 49ers at the start of the free agency period that begins on Thursday since Colin Kaepernick opted out of his contract at the end of the 2016 football season. San Fransisco 49er head coach Kyle Shanahan has worked with Hoyer in 2014 when he was the offensive coordinator of the Cleveland Browns and Hoyer was the starting quarterback of the team. The 49ers are likely to add some more quarterbacks either from the free agent market or the National Football League Draft to compete with Hoyer to be the starting quarterback of the team during the training camp sessions later this year.

Hoyer could be blind with no arms and be an improvement over Kaepernick.

That is true. Colin should be nicknamed "general nuisance".
