Former Arizona Cardinals defensive lineman Calais Campbell, 30, has signed a four million, $60 million dollar contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday. Campbell had played on the defensive line with the Arizona Cardinals from 2008-2016 before he entered the free agent market when the 2016 football season ended. Campbell was close to signing a four year, 14 million dollar annual salary from his hometown team the Denver Broncos before the Jaguars outbid the Broncos to get the services of Campbell who replace current free agent defensive lineman Jared Odrick who was released last month. Normally a free agent like Campbell would sign a free agent contract to play football for a playoff contender like the Broncos but I am shocked that he decided to play football for the Jaguars who are a few years away from being in playoff contention.
