Alcohol: Highly Overrated

Well, that is my personal view and am sure that there are just too many people who won't agree. But I personally feel that the response of people after consuming alcohol does not go appropriately with the importance it has been given as a means of enjoyment. All over the world, on an average, alcohol probably will easily outclass all the the ways of expressing happiness (and, some say, sadness, too) as far as preference is concerned. However, the most common elements attached to alcohol consumption like hangover, throwing up and the discomfort caused due to higher, even a little, dosage are enough to agree that alcohol could be avoided. And it is always more entertaining and enjoyable to see someone with an overdose of alcohol than to overdo it yourself. There are things that people suggest to support alcohol consumption out of which I could agree with only one that it gives you a sort of feeling of delirium which could be enjoyed for a while. Otherwise, the reasons that it gives strength to express oneself, helps in dealing with strong emotions, or enables one to enjoy things in a unique manner are not practical. For instance, a person consuming alcohol actually tends to get emotional quite easily and the more he would get emotional, the more alcohol would take control of mind and senses. Well, anyways, it could be enjoyed in limits but the overuse due to the hype attached to it probably ruins lots of parties (for the groups with one or more members overdoing it) rather than making them enjoyable.
