Love thy Neighbour - Do you?

Bangalore, India
March 10, 2017 7:19am CST
Well, this is completely opposite post than the one I posted yesterday. "Love your neighbours" - this is common for all religions, just the words are little bit different. Here neighbour is not only the ones who live next door but anyone around the globe. How many of you love them unconditionally? We love our parents, relatives, friends because we are supposed to love them. Perhaps we do not have any hatreds against anybody unless we get hurt but that does not mean you love them. Let's discuss here do you really love your neighbour and if yes why?

A person cannot love equally everyone in his life because of some reasons like priority, inferiority complex, time etc

It's not about equal love. Obviously you will love your boy friend more than me

We certainly do not love our next door neighbours! They're stupid people.

It is tough to do. But in my religion it does say to love our neighbor. Because God first loved us. I am not perfect and fall short daily so good thing the God I serve understands and forgives me. People will give us a million reasons not to want to love them, lol. Its hard sometimes. But i try to remember that I am not perfect either. I make bad choices sometimes. But even though i mess up, God still loves me. How can i expect others to be perfect when i am not. I love them and if i disagree with something then i pray to God to help guide them or help me see what im suppose to see. In the end the judging is up to God and its only my job to love. Which to me is a much easier job. I dont want to be a judge ;)

Not only your religion, all religions speaks for love but surprisingly most of the fights, terrorism activities are done in the name of religion - be it Crusade in past or ISIS attacks now! I need no religion to love human.

I probably don't 'love' those in other countries but I don't wish them harm either. It is a big call, to be asked to love everyone, whether near or far.

Yes, we are kind of 'indifferent' about the rest of the world!

I do not have any ill feeling towards my neighbours related to any country or next door, but if the neighbours preach hatred it's difficult to remain lovable towards them.

i used to love all the people but i don't know why after i joined social media like face book i started hating ....face book spoiled me......i used to think why every one is so patriot and passionate about their country because i used to think there is one earth and we are humans with similar parts except color and culture...

At times we get such neighbours who constantly keep on harassing us in one or the other way and then it becomes difficult to be kind to them, an at times we get such neighbours who are good to us on face but backbite about us when with others..in such cases i try to be away from them as much as possible and limit the interactions only when needed, else ill be giving them chance to look deeper into my life and make it a wildfire kinds of news.

I don't know if I love my neighbor's but certainly do respect them because they have been in a lot of our concerns when we had shifted here.

Respecting each other is a good thing. In India getting good neighbours is considered as lucky! Someone too self centred and some are very much enquiring! Both are not good to have.
