It is a war drama and the true story of conscientious objector Desmond T. Doss. He was an army medic who saved 75 men in Okinawa during the battle of WWII. Doss was the only American soldier in WWII to fight on the front lines without a weapon. He alone evacuated the wounded near enemy lines. He braved enemy fire and put his own life on the line to save the wounded. He won the Congressional Medal of Honor.
It was an really good movie. At the end of the movie they had the real Desmond Doss which was interesting.
Has anybody watched this movie?

It's a very good one. Mel Gibson did a great job.

It was well done and even though it was a long movie it didn't seem it because there was so much going on.

I have yet to see this film. Mel Gibson and Andrew Garfield received Oscar nominations as well as the film.

It is really good. I highly recommend it. It is over 2 hours but there is so much going on that it doesn't even seem that long.

I watched this movie. As I said, he must be blessed. It is hard to believe that he still survived from the war without any weapons. It is so amazing. It is a miracle. Actually he not only saved American soldiers, but also several Japanese soldiers. He is a wonderful man

Yes he was. He was not the coward that they had thought he was.
